Shipping, duties and payments

Draft – not legal advice. This text was prepared as a working draft and must be reviewed and approved by a qualified lawyer before go-live. Every [TO BE COMPLETED] marker requires input from Stamperia Bertozzi.

1. Where we ship

We ship to Italy, the European Union and the United States. [TO BE COMPLETED – confirm the full list of destination countries.]

2. Processing and delivery times

Each canvas is printed and finished by hand, so orders are dispatched within [TO BE COMPLETED – e.g. 3–5] business days of payment confirmation. Estimated transit times:

  • Italy: [TO BE COMPLETED] business days
  • European Union: [TO BE COMPLETED] business days
  • United States: [TO BE COMPLETED] business days

Under the U.S. FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, if we cannot ship within the stated time (or, where no time is stated, within 30 days of receiving your order), we will notify you, offer you the choice between consenting to the delay or cancelling, and refund a cancelled order promptly.

3. Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart before you confirm your order and are shown separately from the price of the goods. [TO BE COMPLETED – rates and free-shipping thresholds.]

4. Prices, VAT and taxes

  • Italy and EU consumers: prices shown include Italian VAT (or the VAT of the country of destination where the EU One-Stop-Shop scheme applies).
  • United States and other non-EU destinations: prices are shown net of EU VAT. Goods are exported from Italy.

5. Import duties and taxes for orders shipped to the United States

Since 29 August 2025 the U.S. de minimis exemption (formerly USD 800, Section 321) no longer applies, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection indefinitely suspended it for all modes of transport with effect from 24 June 2026. As a result every shipment entering the United States is subject to a formal customs entry, 10-digit HTS classification and full duties, taxes and fees, regardless of its value.

Goods of EU origin are currently subject to an all-inclusive tariff ceiling of 15% under the EU–U.S. trade arrangement. Individual U.S. states may also levy sales or use tax on the transaction.

Who pays: [TO BE COMPLETED – choose one and delete the other]

  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): all duties, taxes and customs clearance fees are calculated at checkout and paid by us. You will receive nothing further to pay on delivery.
  • DAP (Delivered At Place): duties, taxes and customs clearance fees are not included in the price and are invoiced to you by the carrier before delivery. These amounts are set by the U.S. authorities and are outside our control.

Customs charges already paid are generally not refundable by us if you return the goods; you may be able to claim a duty drawback directly from U.S. Customs.

6. Payment methods

[TO BE COMPLETED – align this list with the payment methods actually enabled in the shop.] Payments are processed by our payment providers over an encrypted connection; we never store your full card details.

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay
  • Bank transfer

All amounts are charged in [TO BE COMPLETED – EUR / USD]. If your card is denominated in another currency, your issuer may apply a conversion fee.

7. Damaged or missing parcels

Please check the parcel on delivery. If the packaging is visibly damaged, accept the delivery with a written reservation and contact us at info@stamperiabertozzi.it within [TO BE COMPLETED] days, attaching photographs.
